Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Sat 13th Feb: Arrival
Arrival & Transfer: Participants arrive at Cochin International Airport and will be transferred to their hotel in Fort Kochi.
About the Location: Nestled along the tropical Malabar Coast, Cochin (or Kochi) features a stunning natural harbor surrounded by a cluster of islands interconnected by scenic backwaters and lagoons. Historically renowned as a major center of commerce, Cochin has drawn Arab, Chinese, and European traders and explorers to its shores for more than 600 years.
Evening Itinerary (5:00 PM): Guests will be taken to Marine Drive to enjoy a Kochi Harbour Cruise. The cruise offers front-row seats to a spectacular sunset, casting a beautiful silhouette over the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets and the historic Fort Kochi skyline.

Day 2: Sun 14th Feb: Fort Cochin
The day begins with an early morning yoga session (7:30am). Following breakfast, we will spend the day exploring Cochin’s rich cultural history:
- Paradesi Synagogue: Constructed in 1568 by Spanish-speaking Jews, it stands as a testament to the area’s historic religious diversity.
- Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace): Built by the Portuguese in 1555 and later renovated by the Dutch, featuring stunning traditional murals.
- Saint Francis Church: Built in 1503, this is the oldest European-built church in India.
- Iconic Chinese Fishing Nets: Originally erected between 1350 and 1450, these massive cantilevered structures still line the shores of Fort Cochin
Evening Performance: In the evening, you will be transferred to the theater to witness Kathakali, the famous traditional dance-drama of Kerala.
About Kathakali: As one of the oldest theater forms in the world, Kathakali originated right here in Kerala. Performers wear elaborate makeup and magnificent costumes to portray characters from Hindu mythology, primarily focusing on the epic tales of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. The technique relies on a highly sophisticated language of stylized gestures and facial expressions, allowing the artists to convey complex stories and complete sentences without speaking a single word.

Day 3: Mon 15th Feb: Marari Beach Stay
The morning begins with a rejuvenating yoga session. Following breakfast, we will make our way to Marari.
Marari is a pristine “barefoot luxury” destination in Kerala, renowned for its quiet, golden sands and traditional fishing village charm. The rest of your day is entirely at leisure to immerse yourself in the five-star amenities of the resort. Relax under the shade of swaying palm trees on the glistening golden beach, take a dip in the serene swimming pool, or indulge in a treatment at the wellness center and spa.

Day 4: Tue 16th Feb: Alleppey House Boat
Today, we make our way to Alleppey (Alappuzha) for an unforgettable overnight stay on a traditional Kerala houseboat. Your journey begins as you step aboard your private vessel just before lunchtime. A core highlight of the backwater experience is the exquisite Keralan cuisine, cooked right on board by your personal chef using the finest local spices, pristine ingredients, and freshly caught fish. After a delicious lunch, spend a peaceful afternoon meandering slowly through palm-fringed canals and wide-open paddy fields.
In the late afternoon, experience a unique Yoga Session on deck as the tranquil backwaters provide the ultimate natural soundtrack. Later, there is the option to embark on an intimate canoe excursion, gliding deep into the narrower backwater channels. Here, you will catch an authentic glimpse into the charm of everyday local life, from fishermen tending their nets to families working along the lush banks. As the sun sets, enjoy another freshly prepared dinner before retiring to the comfort of your air-conditioned cabin.

Day 5: Wed 17th Feb: Allepey > Poovar
Today begins with an early morning yoga session at 7:30 AM. After breakfast, we make our way to Poovar Island, concluding our journey with a scenic 10-minute boat cruise through palm-fringed backwaters—a tranquil transition from the modern world to island life.
Enveloped by serene emerald backwaters and opening out to the majestic Arabian Sea, Poovar Island Resort is a breathtaking tropical sanctuary nestled in 25 acres of lush coconut gardens. Accessible exclusively by a scenic boat cruise through palm-fringed rivers, this eco-friendly retreat offers an instant escape from the modern world into a realm of pure tranquility.
Following a restful drive and check-in at our island retreat, we conclude the day with an afternoon yoga practice surrounded by lush tropical greenery.
Day 5 Summary:

- 9:00 AM: Check out of the houseboat & drive to Poovar Island (approx. 5-hour drive)

Day 6: Thu 18th Feb: Poovar
The day begins at 07:30 AM with a rejuvenating yoga session. Following breakfast, the remainder of the morning is yours to enjoy at your leisure—perhaps indulge in the resort’s amenities or simply relax in the serene surroundings.
Afternoon: Journey into the Capital
After lunch, join us for an optional excursion to Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), the vibrant capital of Kerala. This tour offers a deep dive into the region’s storied past and architectural grandeur:
Puthan Maliga Palace Museum: We begin at this breathtaking two-story palace, built in the 1840s by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma. A masterpiece of traditional Kerala architecture, the palace features intricate wood carvings and now serves as a museum. You will explore a priceless collection of royal artifacts, including Belgian glass mirrors, life-size Kathakali mannequins, and the elegant “Horse Palace” carvings.
Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple: Next, we visit one of the world’s most mysterious and magnificent religious sites. A stunning fusion of Kerala and Dravidian architectural styles, the temple’s history is woven into ancient texts dating back to 500 B.C. Globally renowned as the wealthiest place of worship in history, the temple gained international fame following the discovery of secret subterranean vaults filled with gold, jewels, and ancient statues.

Day 7: Fri 19th Feb: Poovar: Yoga & Ayurveda
The day begins at 07:30 AM with a rejuvenating yoga session. Following breakfast, students will receive a personal consultation with our resident Ayurvedic physician, your day is tailored with restorative treatments designed specifically for your wellness needs. In the afternoon, there is the option to enjoy the serene beauty of the mangrove forests on a guided boat cruise.
The rest of the day is as your own leisure —whether that’s quiet journaling, a meditative beach walk, or simply resting by the beach.

Complimentary arrival and departure transfers are included in your retreat package. Upon arrival in Cochin, you will be met at the airport and escorted directly to our hotel.
