Tour Itinerary


Your driver will be waiting for you at Thiruvananthapuram Airport and will take you to your hotel in Kovalam.

Your adventure begins with a Bond Safari. A bond is a fancy scooter coupled with an air filled container that allows a person to explore the marvels of the underwater paradise without any of the rigors required by a typical deep water scuba dive. It allows a person to effortlessly ride on a self-propelled, eco-friendly electric scooter. Fear not, you will not be thrown into the deep! The first step will be a small class followed by diving suits. You will then be taken to the dive site where there will be abundant sea life. Be assured, a professional diver will be present at all times.

Day 02 – VARKALA

Today after breakfast we head to Varkala. Lined with golden sands and blossoming green vegetation, Varkala is a popular tourist spot in Kerala. The laterite cliff provides a breath taking view of the adjoining beach. The beach itself has much to offer with facilities such as sunbathing, swimming and boat riding. The area is also a popular region for Ayurvedic treatments and therapeutic massages.

Today we’ll hire some bikes for some cycling through the coastal villages to Varkala. Optional surfing and beach activities are also available.

Today we make our way to Alleppey, reaching there at around11am. By 11:30am we aim to begin our kayaking experience.

The trip takes you through the inland waterways and non-touristic areas of the Alleppey backwater with a mixture of kayaking and mechanised Shikkara boat to cover the big lakes. Paddle boats are used for the small canals. Traditional lunch is included and Tea from a local tea shop. The trip ends around 6:30pm, perfect time to watch the sunset view across the Alleppey backwaters.

Today we head to Thekkady for the overnight stay at the Gavi Jungle Camp. Thekkady is home to India’s largest wildlife sanctuary, the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary and was a former royal hunting reserve. Covering an area of 777 Sq. kms, and surrounded by a lake covering 25 Sq. kms. The sanctuary is home to wild elephants, boar, deer, nomadic tribes and the great Indian tiger reserve.

The Gavi Jungle Camp, a community based eco tourism program provides an opportunity to camp outdoors on the banks of the Periyar river within the Periyar tiger reserve. The program includes trekking in the forest (‘Windy Walks’), a safari in Gavi, and a boat trip on the famous Periyar Lake. Dinner, breakfast and lunch is included with traditional food prepared by the Urali tribe.

Day 05 – MUNNAR

In the morning, after breakfast, we embark on the scenic drive to Munnar, a hill station, located 1,600 m above sea level. Munnar traces some of its recent history to the British Raj, where the elite would spend their summer months during the colonial days. Dotted with picture-book hills, forested hill stations, sprawling tea plantations, Munnar is a haven for peace, relaxation and tranquillity.

Visit tea factory, tea museum. You will check into Bracknell forest where you will stay tonight, but first you will go for a jungle walk. Your trek will begin at 8.30-9am around a height of around 1420 meters MSL, through the tea plantations. It will take around 30-40 minutes. On reaching the top we will then trek along the ridge through grassland where you will have the breath taking views of the rocky mountain slope on one side and the tea plantations and the Shola forest on the other. On a clear day you will have the opportunity to see the Anaimudi, which is the highest peak in South India and the water reservoir of Idukki Dam, listed as the highest arch dam in Asia. The trek will continue through a nature area where you will be able to see exotic spices such as cardamom and cloves. This is a perfect spot for endemic birds of this part of Western Ghats. A picnic lunch/refreshments will be provided in a suitable place during the trek. The trek will take around 40 minutes to an hour with the highest point will be around 1950 metres.
Your vehicle will be waiting for you at the finishing point.

Day 06 – COCHIN

Today we head to Cochin. Set within the tropical Malabar Coast, Cochin or Kochi includes a natural harbour surrounded by a collection of islands interconnected by backwaters and lagoons.
Historically significant as a major centre of commerce, Cochin has drawn in Arab, Chinese and European traders and explorers for over 600 years.

After check in at the hotel, we go for walking tour to explore Fort Kochi. Granted by Rajah of Kochi in 1503 to the Portuguese, the area is lined with some of India’s oldest colonial buildings. The Dutch, French and British all settled in Kochi making Kochi a real potpourri of international and Indian cultures.
